If you booked the three- or seven-day Angel Tour, you will see the first house on the Angel Tour as soon as the Angel receives confirmation of the appointment from Dotstay's Property Hunting Team. Don't worry if you don't receive an appointment notification from the Angel as early as the first day! Angel Tour, you will see all the houses in one day. If you have booked the Angel Tour for three or seven days, you will see the first house of the Angel Tour as soon as the Angel receives confirmation of the appointment from the Dotstay Property Hunting Team. Don't worry if you don't receive an appointment notification from the Angel on the first day

A:

We ask you to give us your availability for apartment visits on the days of your Angel Tour, so that you know when your Angel can schedule appointments for you, without running the risk that you may not be there. For the one- or three-day Angel Tour, you will obviously need to be available every day, all day.

A:

If you do not indicate time availability slots for apartment visits, the Angel will consider that you are available all day and the Property Hunting Team will schedule appointments for you in any time slot.

A:

"Take or Jump" means that after seeing a house with your Angel you will have a maximum of two hours to communicate if you want to "take it" or want to "jump" to the next visit. You can also see all the houses with your Angel and then decide which one to rent but know that it is very likely that the houses seen previously have already been rented by other people and so you risk ending the Angel Tour and being left without accommodation.

A:

If you don't like any of the apartments visited, don't worry, nothing happens! You will have paid only 89 euros at the time of booking and will not be charged any additional fees, unless you have incurred a penalty. For more details on reservations and payments, please visit the appropriate section 6.18 of our Terms and Conditions.

A:

The houses you will see with your Angel will match the search criteria you entered at the time of booking (meeting a matching-rate of 80 to 100 percent). This means that they will have many of the features you are looking for in a house, but not always all of them of course.

A:

All you have to do once you have found the house you like is to follow the directions given by your Angel. The first step is to send Dotstay your "agreement."

A:

The agreement is the official email you should send to Dotstay when you have chosen your home from those visited with your Angel; it is the official confirmation of your choice and determines the end of the search phase for your accommodation.

A:

After submitting the agreement, you will receive an email explaining the next steps and you can always count on the help of your Angel.

A:

If you choose a house from those visited with the Angel, but the landlord or real estate agency does not confirm, there are two possibilities: if you have already seen all the apartments selected for you, you can rebook a new Angel Tour; if you still need to see more houses, you can resume the Tour with your Angel.

A:

To find your dream home, we look everywhere for you: the houses the Angel will show you may be privately owned or they may be offered by real estate agencies.

A:

The lease agreement for the house you have chosen does not depend on Dotstay. It will be up to the landlord or the real estate agency to define the type of lease to be signed. Usually in Italy, four-year contracts are used with the possibility of early termination at any time with three months' notice.

A:

Yes, you will always have to pay the landlord who usually asks for the first month's rent in advance as well as a security deposit (usually equal to the cost of three-monthly rent installments). However, landlords may sometimes ask for different amounts. In the case that the house you choose is offered by a real estate agency, you will also have to pay their commission. To save you money, Dotstay usually asks the real estate agency to give you a discount equal to what you paid for the Angel Tour. Very often we are successful in this! For more information visit section 6.11 of our Terms and Conditions.

A:

The documents you need to rent a house in Italy are your ID card or passport, your tax code, your tax return and a copy of your parents' last three pay slips, if you are a student, or your own, if you are a worker. If you are a non-EU citizen, you will also need to provide your residence permit.
