This privacy policy and the rules for the use of cookies have been translated by the Italian language to allow everyone to understand it. The terms and definitions used are to be understood in the current and binding meaning according to the Italian regulations. This privacy policy applies to the website www.dotstay.com ("the Site") and refers to the processing of personal data made by Dotstay Srl during the visit to the Site and the interaction of users with the services and functionalities of the Website.

The terms used in the following privacy (for example "Angel" or "Member") have the same meaning described in the Terms and Conditions of our Site. In this regard, whenever such privacy mentions "Dotstay", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the Dotstay company that is responsible for the data of the Member based on this privacy statement.

The Data Controller is responsible for Dotstay Srl, with registered office in Milan, Via Taormina, 40 - 20159 Milan, VAT No. 08369730968, e-mail info@dotstay.com, in the figure of the CEO and Chairman.


Dotstay collects the following data categories:

a) Information that the Member provides directly

When you use the Dotstay Platform, we request and collect the following personal information: this information is necessary for the proper performance of the services between Dotstay and the Member and is used in compliance with legal obligations.

Required Informations

Profile Data: when you register a new Profile, we ask you to provide some data including:

-name and surname

-email address

-telephone number


Optional information

To use certain features (including carrying out Angel's activity or uploading a home on the Site as an owner) we may request to provide additional information including:


- information about the house you want to upload to the site

-date of birth


Other authentication information

To help create and maintain a reliable environment and to protect the security of Members, we may require you to provide certain information (such as an identity document and the LinkedIn and / or Facebook account).

b) Payment information.

To use certain Dotstay features (such as booking a service), we may ask you to provide some payment information (such as credit card or Paypal account details) to facilitate processing payments (through Paypal and its platform Braintree).

c) Communication with Dotstay and other Members.

When communicating with Dotstay or using the Dotstay Platform with other Members, we collect information regarding your communications and any data you choose to provide.

d) Optional information that you may provide to us

You can choose to provide us with additional personal information to improve your Member experience on the Dotstay Platform. These additional data will only be processed with your consent.

Additional profile data

As part of your Dotstay profile, you can choose to provide us with additional information (such as gender, preferred language (s), city and your personal description). As stated in your Account settings, some of these data are part of your public profile page and will be visible to others.

e) Information necessary for the use of payment services

When you use payment services, Dotstay will ask you for some payment details (Paypal account or credit card details) to process payments in accordance with applicable laws (such as anti-money laundering).

f) Authentication information and other information

If you are an Angel, Dotstay may request an identity check (such as a photo of your ID, passport or driver's license if permitted by applicable law) or other identification information, such as your date of birth, address of domicile or residence, email address, telephone number and other data to provide you with payment services and comply with applicable law.

Log data and device information

We automatically collect log data and device information when a user logs in and uses the Dotstay Platform.

This information includes, among other things: information on how the user has used the Dotstay Platform (including links to third-party applications on which the user has clicked), date and time of access, information on hardware and software, information on the device and cookies.

g) Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and technologies as pixels. It is possible at any time to disable the use of cookies through the settings of your browser. (see below COOKIE)

h) Information we collect from Third Parties.

Dotstay may collect data, including your personal information, that third parties provide about you when using the Dotstay platform, or obtain information from other sources and combine it with the information we collect through the Dotstay Platform. We do not control, supervise or respond to the processing of your personal data by such third parties, therefore any request for information regarding the communication of your personal information must be forwarded directly to such third parties.

i) Third party services

 If you connect, connect or access your Dotstay Account with a third-party service (eg Google, Facebook, LinkedIn), this tool can send us information such as, for example, your registration data and your user profile on that service . 3. Sharing and communication

a) With your consent.

Where you have given your consent, we may share your data, including personal data, as described when we obtained your consent. This consent extends to third party providers of services such as the pick-up service or the provision of a local sim and other additional services.

b) Sharing between Members

To help facilitate bookings or other interactions between Members, we may need to share certain information, including personal data, with other Members, to the extent necessary to ensure the proper performance of the services between us and the Members and Members. same as shown below:

- When, as a User, you send a reservation request to an Angel, your name and surname are shared with the Angel.

- When the reservation is confirmed, we will share additional information, which you agree to share, in order to better manage and organize the service.

- When, as Angel, you receive a request, you agree that each User sees certain information, including name and surname, reviews that may be present on the Angel page.

Once you have made a reservation, as an Angel, you agree to share additional information such as Facebook, LinkedIn, phone number and e-mail address.

- When you make an accommodation available as an Owner, you agree to share information with the Angel, such as your first and last name, telephone number, e-mail address and information about the home.

c) Profiles, Announcements of apartments and other public information.

The Dotstay Platform allows you to publish information, including personal data, that are visible to the general public. As an Angel, parts of your public profile page, including, for example, your name, your description and city, are publicly visible to other users.

After completing a reservation, the Angel and the Users can write Reviews and rate each other. Reviews and Ratings are part of your public profile page, and can be viewed in other parts of the Dotstay Platform.

Based on our legitimate interest in promoting the Dotstay Platform, we may show parts of it (eg your Angel page) on Dotstay business partner sites, using technology such as widgets or APIs.

d) Service providers.

Dotstay uses a variety of third-party service providers to provide services related to the Dotstay Platform. The providers of these services may be located inside or outside the European Economic Area ("EEA").

4. Social network platforms

Where permitted by applicable law, we may use some of your personal information, such as your e-mail address, to share it with social media platforms, such as Facebook or Google, in order to generate leads and redirect traffic to our websites, promote our products and services or our Dotstay Platform. 5. Business operations

7. Your rights

a) Data management

You can access and update some of your data from your account settings. If you have chosen to link your Dotstay Account to a third-party application, such as Facebook or Google, you can change the settings and remove the permission. You are responsible for updating your personal data.

b) Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you (and which you can not personally update from your Dotstay Account).

c) Storage and deletion of data
