What does the Angel do?
A:

Other than accompany you during the visits, your Angel will assist you during the lease contract. If necessary, he will help you with the gas and light contracts as well. He will assist you during your check-in in the new house. Finally, he will be at your disposal for 7 days more after your check-in for anything regarding your accommodation. Not just that: he will also give you all the information about the documents you need, he will explain to you the main things about the lease contract. You may also ask him to suggest you on the city’s life: good restaurants, coolest bars, shops. Let’s say you will have a personal assistant on your side!

What is a Dotstay Angel?
A:

The Dotstay Angel is your first friend in town. Therefore, it is a local person, who knows very well the city. His basic job is to welcome you at your arrival by giving you a welcome call. He will send you alert, through sms, regarding the visits of the accommodations. He will accompany you to visit the apartments selected for you.

What if I don't like any of the offers?
A:

Our goal is to find the best accommodation for you. However, if you don’t like any of the 5 houses you have visited, there is no problem: the amount, previously hold, will be released and you will not pay anything. What are the following steps to the agreement?
A:

Again, there is nothing you have to do on your own: your Dotstay Angel will organize everything for you. You two will agree on day and time for the signing of the contract and for your check-in in the apartment.

What happen once I find the house that I like?
A:

Due to the swiftness of the rental market in the big cities – especially in certain periods –  we suggest you to take a decision as fast as you can when you find the apartment that you like.  Then, all you have to do is to send the “Agreement” to your Dotstay Angel through e-mail (your Angel will tell you how to do so), after that your Dotstay service research ends.

What is the matching-rate?
A:

The matching rate is the percentage of convergence between your requirements and the housing options that you will be given. Dotstay’s matching-rate is between 80 – 100%, reason why most of our customer find their new home during the first three days of the service.

How are the visits scheduled?
A:

Your Angel will send you the first alert, during the week of your service, straight away when we received the availability from the landlord. You will visit the options based on the formula “take or jump”: if you do not like it, you go on the next.

When can I use my account?
A:

Once your application will be considered adequate, you account as Angel will be released and you will be free to use it.

This way we will know what are your actual availability on the week of your service with your Angel. Therefore, we will arrange the appointments according to your timetable.

How the deposit works for the Dot?
A:

The owner decide how much will the deposit will be. The amount will be hold from your credit card and released at the end of your stay in the Dot.

I booked a Dot. How do I contact the owner of the apartment?
A:

Once we receive your reservation, we will provide you the exact address and the contacts of the owner. Then you only have to contact him in order to organize your check-in.

Will I reserve the Dot automatically?
A:

Yes, you will just have to choose the Dot you like the most and add it.

I want to book the service with an Angel for the research of the long term accommodation. Do I have to book a Dot?
A:

No, not if you don’t want to. If you already have a place in town for your first 7 nights, you can just book your service with your Angel.

Q:
What is a Dot?
A:

A Dot is a temporary accommodation for 7 days. It may be a private apartment, B&B or an hotel. It will be your base during the research of the apartments, with or without your Angel.

I want to book the service with an Angel for the research of the long-term accommodation. Do I have to book a Dot?
A:

No, not if you don’t want to. If you already have a place in tow for your first 7 nights, you can just book your service with your Angel.

How long can I book a Dot for?
A:

You can book a Dot for 7, 14, or 21 days in a row.

Can I cancel a Dot?
A:
If you have booked a Dot and then want to delete it , you will be reimbursed 50 % of the amount .
Q:
Can I cancel the reservation, once booked?
A:

Yes, you can. If you cancel the service up to 14 days before it starts, any amount of money will be taken. On the contrary, if you cancel the service between the first and the fourteenth days before the start of the service, the half of the amount of money will be taken.

How does the booking work?
A:

In order to book your service/s, you have to insert your credit card data. We will take the amount of money once you will have found your accommodation.

How does the payment work?
A:

Dotstay is a service you can book. You pay only if you find your new accommodation. Dotstay will take the 50% of the amount of the service as a penalty fee in case the user abandons the service while it is running or if a visit or more are missed. 

Landlords

Q:
When and how will I get paid?
A:

Dotstay will automatically pay you by sending the amount requested to your bank account. Dotstay will send you the amount within 48 hours from the check-in.

Q:
How do I know if someone booked my Dot?
A:

Once someone books your Dot, you will receive an automatic e-mail. Afterwards we will contact you in order to give you more details about your guest.

Q:
What’s your fee?
A:

We don’t ask any fee to the owner of the Dot. The only thing we ask you for is to provide us an approximate price for a week.

Q:
Are the reservation immediate or do I have to approve them?
A:

The reservation are instant. For this reason it is very important that you synchronize Dotstay’s calendar with Airbnb’s, it will take you few minutes to do so.

I have an accommodation to rent for short term. How do I insert it in your website?
A:

It is very easy. You just have to create an account as landlord, by selecting the option “short term” and by filling in all the requested fields. Once done, you will just have to wait for the staff to review it and make it public on the website.

Do you want more visibility of your apartment?
A:

How much does it cost to be part of your network?
A:

To be in Dotstay’s landlords database you don’t have to pay anything. Let us know your availability online and we will contact you when we got a request that matches your apartment.

How do I contact people that may be interested in my apartment?
A:

We will do that for you. We have many requests every day for different kind of accommodation: from single room to 3 bedrooms apartment, from the most central area to the most residential, from who looks for solutions with good quality-price match to who looks for luxury apartments.

What do you mean by "long term"?
A:

For “long term” we mean rent from 6 months onwards. If you want to rent for less than 6 months but more than three weeks you can always let us know your availability.

I want to rent an apartment for long term. How do i let you know?
A:

It is very easy. You only have to create an account as landlord, by selecting the option “long term” and fill in the requested field.

What happen if I miss one or more apartment visits or just leave the service while it is running?
A:

In this case, the half of the amount of money will be taken.
