What does the Angel do?
A:

Other than accompany you during the visits, your Angel will assist you during the lease contract. If necessary, he will also help you with the gas and light contracts. He will assist you during your check-in in the new house. Finally, he will be at your disposal for 7 extra days after your check-in for anything regarding your accommodation. That's not all: he will also give you all the information about the documents you need, he will explain you the main things about the lease contract. You can also ask him to recommend some good things around town: good restaurants, cool bars, shops. Let’s say you will have a personal assistant with you!

Who is a Dotstay Angel?
A:

The Dotstay Angel is your first friend in town. Therefore, he or she is a local person, who knows the city like the back of his hands. First off, he'll welcome you at your arrival by giving you a welcome call. He will send you alerts for your accommodation visits by sending you a text. He will accompany you to visit the apartments selected for you.

What is the matching-rate?
A:

The matching rate is the percentage of convergence between your requirements and the housing options that you will be given. Dotstay’s matching-rate is between 80 – 100%, reason why most of our customer find their new home during the first three days of the service.

How are the visits scheduled?
A:

Your Angel will send you the first alert, during the week of your service, as soon as he receives the availability from the landlord. You will visit the options based on the formula “take or jump”: if you don't like it, you go on to the next one.

Q:
What happens once I find the house that I like?
A:

Due to the swiftness of the rental market in the big cities – especially in certain periods –  we suggest to make up your mind as fast as you can when you find the apartment that you like. Then, all you have to do is send your Dotstay Angel what we call an “Agreement” through e-mail (your Angel will help you do this), after that your Dotstay service research ends.

Which steps are left after the agreement?
A:

As we've said, there is nothing you have to do on your own: your Dotstay Angel will organize everything for you. Together with him, you will agree on day and time for the signing of the contract and for your check-in in the apartment.

What if I don't like any of the offers?
A:

Our goal is to find the best accommodation for you. However, if you don’t like any of the 5 houses you have visited, that's not a problem: the amount, previously held, will be released and you will not pay anything. Are the accommodations you offer me actually available?
A:

Yes, we guarantee you that the accommodations are available at the moment we send you the alerts.

Q:
When can I use my account?
A:

Once your application will be considered adequate, your account as Angel will be released and you will be free to use it.

Q:
What happen if I don't tell you my timetable?
A:

If you don’t choose your timetable, we will consider you available any time during the week of your service.

Q:
Why do I have to select my availabilities for the visits?
A:

This way we will know when you are available during the week of your Angel service. Therefore, we will arrange the appointments according to your timetable.

Q:
Will I reserve the Dot automatically?
A:

Yes, you will just have to choose the Dot you like the most and add it. 

Q:
I want to book the service with an Angel for the research of the long term accommodation. Do I have to book a Dot?
A:

No, not if you don’t want to. If you already have a place in town for your first 7 nights, you can just book your service with your Angel.

Q:
How long can I book a Dot for?
A:

You can book a Dot for 7, 14, or 21 days in a row. 

Q:
I booked a Dot. How do I contact the owner of the apartment?
A:

Once we receive your reservation, we will provide you the exact address and the contacts of the owner. Then you only have to contact him in order to organize your check-in.

Q:
How does the booking work?
A:

In order to book your service/s, you will pay 69 €. Then, an amount equal to the Angel service fee (according to the apartment typology research) will be authorized on your credit card. We will take that amount of money once you will have found your accommodation or according to the cancellation policy and the service rules.

Q:
How does the payment work?
A:

The credit card data will be saved on our secure system. The amount will be authorized or withdrawn during the Angel service and according to the Terms and Conditions.

Q:
Can I cancel the reservation, once I've booked it?
A:

Yes, you can. If you cancel the service up to 14 days before it starts, no amount of money will be taken. On the contrary, if you cancel the service between the first and the fourteenth days before the start of the service, half of the amount of money will be taken. If you abandons the service while it is running, a penalty of 100% of the amount will be taken.

What happen if I miss one or more apartment visits or just leave the service while it is running?
A:

If you abandon the service while it is running or if you miss two consecutive appointments scheduled in two consecutive days, the entire amount of the service will be taken. If you miss one or more than one (not consecutive) appointments and you don't select any of the options shown, you will be charged of the 50% of the amount.

Can I cancel a temporary accommodation?
A:

Unfortunately we have to block the apartment and pay the landlord. For this reason, the reservation is no longer refundable.

What is a temporary accommodation?
A:

A temporary accommodation is a private apartment, B&B or a hotel that you can use as home-base during the long term apartment research.

Q:
I have an accommodation to rent for a short term. How do I put it up on your website?
A:

It is very easy. You just have to create an account as landlord, by selecting the option “short term” and by filling in all the requested fields. Once you're done, the apartment will be officially part of our network (it won't be visible online) and you will be contacted in case of requests. 

Q:
How the deposit works for the temporary accommodation?
A:

The owner decide the amount of the deposit, The amount will be paid in cash by the user at the check-in time or it will be paid through wire transfer.

Q:
When and how will I get paid?
A:

Dotstay will automatically pay you by sending the amount requested to your bank account. Dotstay will send you the amount within 48 hours from the check-in.

Q:
What’s your fee?
A:

We don’t ask the temporary accommodation's owners for any fee. The only thing we ask for is keep the calendar update.

Q:
How do I know if someone booked my Dot?
A:

Once someone books your Dot, you will receive an automatic e-mail. Afterwards we will contact you in order to give you more details about your guest.

Q:
What do you mean by "long term"?
A:

For “long term” we mean rent from 6 months onwards. If you want to rent for less than 6 months but more than three weeks you can always let us know your availability.

I want to rent an apartment for a long term. How do i let you know?
A:

It is very easy. You only have to create an account as landlord, by selecting the option “long term” and fill in the requested field.

We will do that for you. We have many requests every day for different kind of accommodation: from single room to 3 bedrooms apartment, from the most central area to the most residential, from who looks for solutions with good quality-price match to who looks for luxury apartments.
